I haven't played going medieval (it is on my wishlist though). Could you clarify what you mean by "room requirements"?

@Andraste's Grace - Do you mean like you get the "Room Tags"- "Dining Room" "Barracks" etc. ? Good Question... Dining Room has allways a Table and Chair, Barrack Is a Room with other Bedrooms inside... what else is in the Game i do not know.

There's no where in-game to see it, other than to try various sizes and see what you get.

There's a thread here somewhere from back when the game first released where people shared their findings, if you can find it. the 5x4 is the only one I remember though, seeing as it is the only one I ever worry about.

Other than bedroom requirements, there aren't any other room requirements in the game. Various setups will get the room different 'names', but those have no game affect.

If you have more than one person sleeping in the bedroom (who are not in a 'relationship'), it counts as a barracks. If you want the buff for spacious bedroom, you have to give them private rooms as well as make it large enough.

ADD - The (private) Bedroom size give them some "Mod" Impact depending on size. If i remember right... Allso if they have a Partner and they share room.

@Jaggid Edje - I have a Room with multible Bedrooms inside that is counted as Barrack

That's what I just said happens.

If it is sized at 20 tiles (or more), and sleeps only 1 person (or one couple), then it is called a "Spacious Bedroom", which gives a +18 happiness buff. But if you put more beds than 1 person (or couple), then it changes to "barracks", which is a lower buff.

Edit: Worth noting that "Barracks" do not need to be sized at 20 tiles, you can have smaller ones than that. For private bedrooms, there is also a buff you get for a smaller bedroom which is called "Private bedroom" or something like that, iirc.

I will check that... But my "Barrack" is the room in front of my Bedrooms. Its acually used as Entertaining room.

The type of room is given by the game automatically as others said, though it's kinda weird that a room would end up being called barracks if there's no beds in it. Most of the time my large workshop rooms end up getting called storage room...

We could collect the room sizes and the mood bonuses in a table on the wiki, similar to that goingmedieval one :)

There's also small bedroom (6 is still that, I guess 4 also gives that bonus, never tried to build a room like that, dunno the upper limit)
