great area
On the new jungle map I have found that the seed of " COW-ZONE " gives you a great area with nearly all required stuff.
Did for me anyway.

I have tried this, area is indeed great but breakthroughs are pretty bad, and there are no new survivors even after a year-no walk in, not from expedition.

That depends on which scenario you're playing. Crash Landing gives you survivors expeditions/walk-ins, but if you're in Trading Outpost you have to hire new people via the Trading Pod.
