Report a translation problem
The only reason to switch out something when it's getting low is so that you can dismantle it to get some materials back. Otherwise they will wear it until it completely goes 'poof' and is gone entirely.
@Paraleo is mistaken, the cooked food will start with more decay (It wont' be fully refreshed) if the ingredients were going bad. This is a per recipe setting though, so I won't go so far as to say that this is true for "all" cooked meals.
Don't worrie, you ain't going to inspect a restaurants kitchen before you eat. If the food tastes good no one worries hahaha
