I had this great seed with a great big flat open space in front of me, so I started building, and then, a big chunk of space craft landed right in front of where I was building.

Sor far no issues, aside from stuck on 4 player hell. I even enabled the higher chance for people. Did a balloon mission, within the time, but the guy was dead, something mauled him.


I have never gotten more 4 survivors in this game and I am beginning to tin foil hat think that nothing over 4 exists outside of the seeds posted.


I stopped at year 2 month 5 with 4 ppl. I want to like this game but I hate that I can never get more than 4 people and soon it will result in a bad review. Trying to hold off, But I have tried over 30 random seeds. I dont want to be forced to pick premade seeds. Not to mention the utterly screwed the food up this update. but being early access I try to be more patient.

Hey ToothlessRaider! Don't be discouraged, it's definitely possible to get more than 4 survivors in your group. It is partly based on the seed itself, but it's also a random event that can happen while you play. Things will be a bit easier with the new game rule, but it's still a random happening.

Yeah, I have tried over 30 new games, and after 2 years the game becomes an all out uphill battle before they die, due to lack of working bodies.

I ever enabled the new game rule increase the pop chance, 2 years 5 month in, its the same 4 tantrum throwing misfits.


But I like the game and I am willing to see how it evovles.


The one thing I do like, is I dont injure myself on the traps. Rimworld caused my blood pressure to rise with all the injuries on my own traps. So I ty for not adding that feature lol

You guys should make like a mandatory extra survivor once a year, that you can accept or deny entry. This RNG is BS and rage enducing. I swear!

People's definition of flat often differ from mine. If you want flat, open, and 100% soil then try DRIVER-MANNER. This place is amazing. Right on the other side of the crevice you land next too is a huge chunk of open flat land to build on.

Here's a seed for the same starting spot as DRIVER-MANNER but with different and very useful breakthroughs. It took me a day and a half of re-rolling to find one.

Sleep Training
Battery Optimization
Carbon Wind Turbines
Hay Cloth

Just watch out for the two of the three space ship chunks. They'll hit your guys if you have them running straight for the broadleaf trees.

All three space ship chunks should fall next to each other. Just restart and don't move anybody before they fall. You can influence how they crash. Just hit superfast speed until they fall. Otherwise one chunk will hit several useful plants.

On pc for Sobrius i like use a map with this seeds(spawns) : DRAGON-FLY INSIDE-ANGER ANGER-PACK DOUBT-FEED BOTTLE-MANNER MAGNETO they all on the same map but diffrent spawn location and breaktroughs the map itself have 2 bigger areas what kind of flat to build bigger bases the soil on most part on map are good to for most plants like grain
