HORROR-SPIRIT on desert, huge flat area

I am using the map seed DEVILSVILLE

It is nice and flat, as long as you move about 20 squares away from the crash site there are massive fields of loam soil. The only 2 plants I haven't found yet are the root crop and beefberries (I have't looked too hard).

And perhaps best, it is the first seed that I have played that has the Fermented fuel breakthrough. So you can just dump 50 insect meat into a barrel to get 20 fuel. I can see this as a MASSIVE time saver.

would be nice to be able to just flatten a area. most of the lumps seem to be caused by crashing parts so wonder if there is something in the game already about distorting the landscape.

Hopefully they will fix that up in a future patch. It is weird that people can go from spears and bows to automated laser turrets in 5 years, but can't work out how to pick up a shovel and fill in a hole in the ground.

HORROR-SPIRIT is a good desert map. Good desert maps are hard to come by, but I can't find corn.

There is corn near lake shore. Plus, there is plenty of grain grass on the map as well.

GOOD-LOSS on desert map is the exact thing youre looking for. Its crawling with nests too, so you can get your nanotubes on.

KNOBIS-HARD is very good. Everything close, miles of flat land. one survivor joins and one you get on exploration and that's very early on so I am expecting more.

On sobrius, DOCTOR-BRUSH has a FANTASTIC open area. Not all of it is loam, but what isn't is still pretty good (the next tier down of soil).

In THUNDERCAT, there is an immediate lightning storm, just quickly build a shelter and draft stand there until it passes. As a reward you get a guaranteed survivor soon after.
