Nope, doesn't work currently. All rooms are only one single-floor no matter how many stairs you use.
A second floor is something I would like to see in this game too. Would hugely save space from having to build wider for more storage and bedrooms!
edit: just noticed in the quick build i placed the AC's the wrong way. Oh well, was just a quick build to show a possible option.

The thing about that is you cannot build on top of the building underneath, unfortunately. That's merely a raised platform in the center.
I'm certain a two-story building could be implemented... Still hoping!
You're telling me something I already know. I merely see that it cannot possibly be too difficult to implement a second floor for bases. I make video games on many different engines thus I comprehend.
Someone with good lua skills could remove the Game restrictions.
Either by changing the .lua files or via the XTemplate.
