For example I no longer use more than 1 fridge, no freezers, no electric cooker or electric research table, 1-2 heat exchangers some lights and 1 gun and 1 motion detector.
This is why you need to use generators for back up power. No excuse for your freezers/refrigerators to ever shut down aside from the usual breakdown.
It isn't that I am not defending or my fridges go out etc. Holding my own just fine. They have improved rifles and weapons etc.
Base has traps in the entrances and double flame flowers at the gates with turrets covering them (though the turrets are mainly just in a constantly repair cycle because of the flares)
The thing is. It is really annoying me constantly getting into a cycle where all I am doing is rebuilding the same things just for them to get nuked by a solar flare each time and this cycle has repeated itself in two playthrough's now. Endless repair basically becomes my game. Rebuilding the same thing between each flare and not really able to do much else. It got into this weird cycle twice now and I just got bored with playing.
The thing is, solar flares don't nuke anything. They just disable cpu-based devices during the event, but as soon as solar flares end, these devices work again.
If you have repairs to do, that's not because of solar flares.
