Everytime I've made a desert seed I always seem to land more or less in the same place.. like the actual map area is small compared to the green one

This video is using eisenherz instead of Eisenherz (lower case e vs upper case E) placed him near a beach area with lots of palm trees. Good arable land and it appears everything else is pretty close by.
