now this is strange had a heat wave on the new desert was in the dry months and temp was still 1-2 so i have know clue what the heat wave was LOL

Heat wave means 8 degrees Celsius warmer than normal. Severe is 14 degrees and extreme 20 degrees difference.

im used to it on the normal map but on the desert its strange but i do like the new map as u have to use ur brain abit more working out what u need:)

I am only on year 2 but so far the Desert biome has been much colder than the normal one. I was expecting to have to deal with heat stroke but so far everyone just gets hypothermia, lol.

3 camp fires at start of game and i set the shelters up so i have a tile opening for them

The thing with the desert is it's cold in the morning, hot in afternoon, so watch your guys as they will auto equip jackets when they're cold, but they won't remove them when they're hot, so you might think they aren't wearing the coat.. but they are and they can easily die from heatstroke if you aren't careful.

The only part that gets me with temps on Desertum, is when it's 10F and raining. Alien world indeed.

Getting synthetic clothing going and some other select pieces like leather helms or baseball caps going id important.

You basically want clothing that doesn't decrease heat tolerance, but does increase cold tolerance. That's good enough for everything but the most severe heat waves.

i use body armor so i just need to set the guys on T shirts or shirts the armor gives u res to heat and cold
