Solar Flare triggered (lasts 5 days) 950 hummingfly spawned. But he was combat 10 by then (cause on Insane level, you get attacks every 3 days)
Its doable, but your guy will be running around a lot and you will be run, pause, aim repeat a lot. Not fun, but doable.
They really need a tech added (cpu shielding) to allow you to counter Solar Flares
well, i can deal with 100+, but its 300+...
ok i know how to deal with it now, just arm with many pistols
but im wondering how to deal with it while im evacuating .
well, finished difficult level but feel it too easy...
i need to know the trick how to deal with it,
if its doable, its ok, i will learn,
but if its not undoable, its not fair =D
thanks very much i finally made it....
and faced another challenge of 200 hummingfly + something like 20+ skrieker broodmother and 50+skrieker, under solar flares lol
luckily i made it too.
now i know how to deal with them with 8 survivors but i just dont think i can make it with 1-3
Having 2-3 characters with high combat and pulse rifles and the others with pistols can take on pretty much anything you throw at them. High combat characters with pulse rifles can stun-lock an insane amount of mobs. High combat skill means they'll "hit" (ie-stun) more and also shoot faster (more opportunities to stun). If they miss, they can almost always get another shot or 2 in before they're in melee range. With three characters firing, the chance of anything getting through it basically zero.
Stun rifles can sometimes deal damage, but they'll almost always permanently disable mobs via breaking bones (movement falls to zero) and concussions (consciousness falls to zero resulting in fainting). Your guys will have to fire a lot of shots to kill a single mob but I think you can hit an infinite number of mobs as long as they're in the cone of pulse.
So, if you position your pulse rifle guys just right, there's basically zero chances mobs can get it you before they get permanently disabled/eventually get pewpewed to death by laser pistols and the occasional damage dealing blast from a pulse rifle.
With the flyers, there's two things to remember -- they can't attack through roofs anymore. As someone mentioned, make a small room that is closed on three sides and open on one so that they get funneled to attack from just one side. Next remember that survivors will always target the nearest baddy unless you tell them otherwise. So, spacing them out properly will maximize the chances that everything gets stunned almost immediately.
The pistol guys are there just to add more DPS to the mix. They're particularly useful for the flyers because they don't have many HPs.
you can see it when you open the developer konsole
and this is a big proplem of the game for player who will build clean and big bases and many dekoration or get big fields
for player who wish to leave the planet its simple build a little base and little defense
for player who will longer stay on the planet to build an fine base with defense and dekoration its hard to stay if the waves go over 1000
the proplem is not the waves self its the proplem that the game cant handel over 500 animails and the game go into slow mode and you need 10 to 15 minits to kill the wave
my biggest wave was 1800 animails and took me 23 mins to clear it
