lightning strike debuf lasts how long?

so i got struck on the 2nd day once as i didnt have any rods yet and its just 24/7 lightning storms for me but iv avoided it since but after 22 days its still there the movement debuf is really starting to annoy me now

what do you need to do to remove it? it says its not permanent but it isnt going away

I would like to know the answer to this. I'm trying to decide if I should restart, because Nova got hit early game. It's now a day 12, and I've read that they heal in 15 days. Guess I could just play a few more days and figure it out, but I wish there was more information to let me know how close she is to being healed.

It could very well be that the recovery from a lighning strike is individual or even based on some unknown stats. Be patient and make sure they don't get hit a second time before recovering. They will make a full recovery, in time.

Good advice, Wota. It took around 18 days total to heal I believe.

On your advice I just ran the game on high speed to see how long before she healed. She's up to 100% now! Thanks.

You've probably heard that lightning never strikes the same place twice -- which is a complete myth in reality.
Anyway, what happened in my game today was just that. While offscreen, Ember got hit by lightning and got knocked out. She lost about 30% of her health. Then seconds later she's struck again, loses another 30% of her health and, of course, suffers permanent neural damage.
Needless to say, it was a moment of going back to a previous save for me.

Your survivors will eventually recover from a lightning strike, but the time it takes to recover can vary from case to case. So just give it time and make sure they don't get hit again while in recovery!
