Carter, how to get rid of his dementia?

Is it the parasite? If it is the devs are far more brilliant than I thought, this would be a genius move.

The problem is that I got that parasite early and never checked Carter´s state until I noticed Jack´s condition worsened, then I checked the others, they all have chronic problems .. well ... had.

It´s probably a bug. One I hope doesn´t get fixed, a happy parasite needs a happy brain ... until some dumb healer comes and "fixes" everything. I don´t have a healer though ... not yet.

I never pick Carter for any of my survivors. I did once but never again. The only time I did have him as a survivor, he wandered off somewhere and got lost and died.

a way to get rid of anything is, walk them naked into a nest.

If you do roleplay, he got dementia so he forgot that that's a bad place.

I don´t think anyone actually reads the posts, my point is that he was cured.

Sounds like a bug, you're saying Carter got the parasite and got cured and it cured his dementia at the same time?

I don´t know if it was that, as I wrote in my original post : Jack got worse and I decided to check the others, that´s when I found out Carter didn´t have dementia anymore.

Yes I did read your post, but I was just commenting what happened to Carter in my savegame. In my case, he did not get cured. He died. One thing I have learned about this game is there is so much of it that is random.

So if Carter dies, can you recruit another survivor from a random expedition event?

I am curious as I have 8 right now, I picked up Carter on an expedition and he has severe dementia. Since I got my 8 survivors I have not had a single potential recruitment expedition succeed. So I am wondering if he has a fatal "accident" will I be stuck with 7 survivors or can I get back up to 8?
