need some cheats so i can keep playing

my first save was going well before i got a persistent crash so i started over and these new difficulty settings have ruined the game. anyone have any cheat codes that work in cheat engine?

Cheats can be enabled by modifying: %Appdata%\Stranded - Alien Dawn\LocalStorage.lua
Add to the first line: Platform.cheats = true

Hit Tilde to enable menu during the game.

i have tried this. does this require a new game to enable? the tilde is not working at all. i have made the changes described. do i need to alter the start menu script?

i have tried this can you tell me if i have to start a new game or be using a certain version of the game to make it work? i have tried the tilde and nothing happens. does this need to be activated at the start menu? is there anything else i need to hit?

Tried this to see if there was any way to manipulate starting pos. Anyway, Tilde didnt work either but @ did, button to left of Tilde on qwerty keyboard layout.
Starting of new game wasnt required

Haven't been able to find this file, using Windows 10. What am I missing?
