You need to research 'Brick Rooms' in the construction tab of the research menu.

after research you need to go to the furnace and use bake. uses hay. concrete after research is made at the crafting table from stone.

I've baked a couple thousand bricks in a previous game, and fabricated a hundred concrete blocks. I never found a legitimate use for either, since I get the carbon technology and can mine thousands of carbon nanotubes from defeated insect nests. Carbon structures are way better than either brick or concrete, plus with carbon you can also create armor.

problem with carbon is that you need to clear the nests with those nasty critters wich means, most people die lol.

trying to build a concrete house with brick's roof but is taking me ages

Nah, wait 'til you have 3-4 folks armed with railgun snipers. They will clear all the bugs out of the nest in seconds, and then you can start mining carbon nanotubes. Each nest complex seems to yield about 1.5K - 2K; 'course then you've gotta haul all that carbon to your warehouse.

Bricks can be made from hay and sticks (fuel) which you can farm easily enough and are an upgrade to wood or stone. Carbon structures are the strongest, but brick is by far the easiest of the higher end materials to make.
