Motherboard temp 93 steady
and graphics card 101 ...
Like I said its some coding issue but some devs listen and some don't
Maxing out @:
CPU - 81C (178F)
GPU - 67C (152F)
I'm running an AMD Ryzen 9 3900 XT and an RTX 3080 with other hardware on the same level. I haven't had this issue with other games personally.
Your CPU is @123 and GPU @101 ? if yes it will Kill it!
I'll see if i can find my post to the other devs and what they replied with.
This is the conversation. I'd also like to point out that I havn't actually spoke to the devs here and do not know how receptive they would be to the issue. I CAN say there is definitely a problem.
I'd also like to point out that I DID turn off V-sync in Stranded Alien and I also set my FPS to 60 which it says is at 60 when I play but I suspect its much higher.
Here is a short snippet of my system spex: SPECCY-

As soon as shut off the game my cpu core and gpu core temps go back down to the 90s.
Here is my conversation with another developer for a DIFFERENT game.

This is a problem that slowly crept in the gaming space and I suspect only very experienced game studios really recognize beforehand, because it is caused by peripherals (instead of internal hardware). At least, we didn't suspect it would pose such an issue until it caught us off guard.
That's not hot enough to be thermal throttling, and as I said overheating doesn't shut down the system. What is your PSU? RTX 3080s can have huge transient spikes that can trigger OCP on a power supply. This is what would shut your system down.
Your GPU draws more power than you need.
The RTX 30 series is the start of the "hot and power hungry" trend for Nvidia because they cant compete at a cool level.
I really don't think its his pc .. I have a completely different video card with the same problem. Its some problem in the coding for the Frames .....as suggested by a dev from the game I posted above.
Here we go .. its funny that its my fault but other devs for different games fixed it ....
I'm using RX 6600 XT and it runs smoothly because 1080p is all I need.
This game isn't doing any wonders or immersion at 4k 120 fps and whatnot if your 3080 is overheating.
