How to remove/heal parasites?

Hi, how I can remove parasites (sleep parasite) from my survivors ?

You need a doctor with at least 5 in healing I think, he/she will trigger a pop up message at some point stating that a cure has been found. I am not sure if it´s 5 ... mine have been with 5 or above when the trigger happened.

It'll raise fairly quickly after a few fights. When I had the sleep parasites I had the option to get rid of them before I'd gotten to the first winter.

are you playing ken? im pretty sure he is scripted to have parasites or im unlucky and he got it in every game in first year

Hi, I'm on the "no-skill at beggining" mode (so heal at 0) and I had this "sleep parasite" on my survivors (and brain parasite on Rita). After a big attack Rita was gravely injured and stayed in bed. At this point each healer were at 3 or 4 on heal skill. Sora go to heal her and a popup show " a cure was found for the sleep parasite" and all the teams was healed.

I loaded a savegame to try again but no popup to heal this parasite... So probably it must be some special condition to cure it

You need a medic with at least 3 to get 100% sometimes, you'll fail but the fail is only 5% off. What annoys me about this nerf, is that it is a 100% nerf against your best survivor.. it isn't random, it always targets the smartest or most skilled survivor you have.

The brain parasite is just a name given to the nerf.

I am not quite sure if it is due to the latest update 0.3 but you DON'T need a healing of 5 or even 3. I had a survivor (Simon) discover a cure for sleep parasites a few hours after he hit healing level 2. The irony is that Nova had been sitting on healing level 5 for the whole game. The devs could have nerfed the disease because I am only on about day 8 in the first year, so it only took a healing level of 2 and about 5 days for Simon to discover a cure. Or I could have just been insanely lucky.

That actually would be a good news. Diseases and accidents are quite annoying ;]

Can you cure Ken's brain parasites if you select the 'wait and see' option when the first pop-up comes up?

I was hoping I could just heal him with Katina, but theres no option for that, so now he seems to be stuck with them. Will I get another opportunity?

I am not sure, I had Laara get them very early in my current game. Spring or summer on the first year(she had a healing of 2). It is now year 3 in my game and I have 7 survivors ranging in healing from 3-10 an I have never got a second chance to cure them.

The downside of being too good at combat is that you can't really train any healing if nobody gets hurt. There should be some kind of training device, similar to the target/punching bag, maybe the surgeon simulator game.

You can send little dumdum into fistfight with some animals and patch him up after. When he is fully healed send him out again.
