You forget to inform us how much power your grid needs (consume) and production .
I had a power issue , had power but at the last pole had 0 , trying to destroy a nest , i click each pole to found out where the issue was.
Early on i open and close benches , to save power, i add light only after day/night sensor and keep looking the power grid as soon as the aggressive animals message pop in.
LOL you know solar panels only work when the sun is out .. right?? Yeah so there goes all your power in that one little battery... I have 9 Batteries 15 carbon solar panels and 6 wind turbines which keep things going pretty well I have 4 freezers , 2 3d printers, 1 laser defense 3 missile launchers and 4 machine gun turrets.... You need more batteries with all the OVER charging you have.
( Should also say that I have the battery boost upgrade that gives me 2000 battery power per battery )
I only get more than 40 during rainstorms and fall/winter snow fluries
I had to add a power pole to close a loop. It was shaped like a 'C' and ran out at night, I finally realized that it was actually two different legs with most of the production on one side and most of the consumption on the other. I Closed the loop and made it look like a 'O' and did not run out of power again.
I was producing about 500 w+, had 4 batteries, and was using about 260 w.
Ahhh Is this documented in game somewhere? Been going crazy with power outages and full batteries. Swearing up & down at the useless generators that won't turn on automatically. :D
Not a bug, it is because the batteries can only output x amount of power and you're overloading it, so it just cuts out when there isn't enough direct power from your solars. Build more batteries is the solution.
Well it's not technically mentioned, but you can see it when you select a battery. There is a charging and discharging rate. Both can be maximum 100 power. You won't see the charge/discharging rate if the battery is at 100% power and is neither charging nor discharging.
So let's just say you have 0 other power generation during night time and only have 1 battery, if you require 50 power the discharge rate will be 50/100. If you require 100 power then the battery will have it's maximum discharge rate of 100/100. If you require 120 power the battery will not be able to provide enough power. There is a breakthrough tech though called "battery optimization" that increases the capacity of a battery and this includes the charge/discharge rate. So a battery can then store up to 2000 power and have a discharge rate of 200.
