How to update ut99 in steam

I downloaded the UT bundle off of steam and ut99 is very 436 and I have down loaded the patch up date but can not seem to install. I'm running steam on Linux and the game runs fine. Just can't update. Thanks

use the manual zip method instead of the exe. Thats what my friend had to do when I was showing him how to install 469b

Thanks for the reply.
I did download the zip and copied each file into the correct folder but I can not run the setup and the open screen still shows 436.
Any ideas ?

Odd.. I never heard of that one before... did you copy all the files in the right place (system folder etc)

I think that I might have found part of the problem.
The bundle came with I think Unreal Gold and Unreal Game of the Year.
The Game of the year is the one I would like to update/patch.
I'm not sure at this point which patch is which.
I'm showing 436 right now and I see there is a 451 and a 469b out there and not sure if they would help me or not.
