Master Server Shutdown

Since Epic is willing to destroy everything, including their own legacy, in their never-ending quest to brute force their way to the top, they're shutting down the master servers for all UT games, meaning you won't be able to browse servers anymore.

Wretched company.

I’m sure the OldUnreal community has something up their sleeves to mitigate this. If not, it really doesn’t take much to run this game on a potato laptop these days…so basically it’s going to be LAN Party 2.0 if OldUnreal doesn’t work it out. Setting up a LAN game between users isn’t difficult locally.

I literally see no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason for them to shutdown Master Servers
The servers are still quite active, there is still people playing this online.
This is such a terrible move by Epic Games. Terrible company.

yeah cuz Epic Games gave a full source code to OldUnreal so they created unofficial patches for it

Honestly surprising they only now realized these are still up, would've expected them to pull it much sooner. Won't say anything else before they ban me here too...
Used to play these a lot, makes no sense to remove them from sale when nothing is changing really as everyone played on community servers anyways.

Currently Dr.Flay along with other OldUnreal developers are in talks with Epic get get UT2k4 code and replace masterservers legally.
