How to play UT99 up to 4k 60fps with DirectX 11 mod.

I tried all of that but it still wont work, the game just launches into a black screen that occasionally flicks to the game but its only for a split second so I cant change the options. The only option that works is 3dfx glide for Windows or alt tabbing as it launches but that is limited to 600x800

You don't need the mod at all. Just choose OpenGL as renderer.

Same issue with OpenGL. Black screen that occasionally flicks to the game. The only thing that works is hitting alt tab as the game launches which allows me to play in a small 800x600 window but it just goes into black screen if I try and change anything

Thank you but I don’t think it’s anything I’ve done wrong, I pasted the files in as you said, selected direct 11 but I just get the same issue regardless

Nevermind, finally got it working! Had to manually change the resolution in the ini file

DirectX11 mod has more features than OpenGL.
Give it a try.

The updated renderers are not mods, they are engine updates, or just "updates"

If you have an ATI or intel GFX chip you use the DirectX renderers, and if you use nVidia you should be using the new OpenGL renderers.

This is where you should download the latest versions, not someones random google drive that may have extra surprises.
Please link to original sources rather than rehost files unless you intend to keep updating your link to stay in-line with current development.

It's easier to download the correct files from my google drive and there are no "extra surprises".
Sure, it may not be the latest but it's garanteed to work with the video tutorial I made if it's used. Actually downloading it from the source has extra surprises for other games not related to this one which is what I removed before re-zipping it since those are not relavent to the actual game I made the tutorial for.

With that being said, my video has links to my google drive and the link to the original source. Whichever one wants to use is going to be up to the individual's preference.

I made this video so it's easier for people to follow the instructions on how to install the mod and I provided my google drive for an easier way to download it.

I call this a mod because the patch is technically modifying the game by updating the game's engine. So I'm going to call it a mod. It's easy to understand.

I noticed that disabling tesselation (in the Unrealtournament config), makes the game look a lot less ugly... as ironic as that sounds. The models get too distorted (for obvious reasons) and messes up mods even more so (visually speaking).
