Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition

Odd mouse movement
This has been bothering me for a while. After I fixed the opengl thing for making my game too fast, looking with the mouse has always felt kind of . . . odd. Like the mouse looks too slow when making slight adjustments (such as aiming at a person), but then moves too fast when you fling the camera around. It doesn't feel like natural mouse movement (and I also might be mistaken, but it almsot feels like looking up and down feels slower than looking left and right).

Has anyone else had this problem and know of a fix?

Yeah that's mouse acceleration. What you're going to want to do is change the renderer back to DirectX9 (don't worry I'll explain how to fix the speed thing as well) and then press the console button, the semi colon ` button. Type in 'preferences' without the apostrophe's. This will open up a window. Go to 'Renderer's'. Go down to DirectX9 and then find FrameRateLimit and set it to 200. That will remove mouse acceleration and keep the normal speed.

When I open up preferences, I don't have directx9. I have: 3dfx Glide Support, OpenGL support, and Software rendering. Do I have to download directx9 for it?

Enable direct input. Or download this http://www.oldunreal.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1453909937 then type "preferences" in the console to open up advanced settings or edit the UnrealTournament.ini file. Turn off directinput and turn on RawHIDinput. A restart of the game is required for the settings to take effect.

Hmmm I can't seem to find RawHIDinput in the ini file. Do I have to put that in myself somewhere?

You must run the game after installing the new files for the option to appear.
