Never played the mod, only the retail standalone version.Does anyone know how different the retail version compared to the mod?

-edit- dont think there was much besides standard alone. but in the mod there were a few different maps like i remember a map where ct start in a garage and it looked like a foundry level forgot the map name but it wasnt in the retail one only the mod saying that.. i did love the remake or looklike dust2 map from cs that got a lookalike version in AoR..

i never tried out mods for Unreal Tournement, back in the end of the 90's internet download speed was quite bad, downloading an 100mb mod could take days.... lol

I'll look it up, some screenshots might boost my ancient gaming memory :) Nostalgia rocks. If your mind cooperates..

yeh i played this back in the day. TOps is unreals engine of CS. really good fun and spent alot of hours on it, there is 2 versions of it the mod which i started from than you have the retail version which is Tops assault on recon which i played also

Hey guys you might wanna check out TO4: Tactical Operations on steam ( or https://www.to4.co/ ), there's a bit of a revival going on over there with alot of the old TO:AoT clans and players :-)

It in closed Alpha atm, but if your quick and join them in discord you should automatically qualify for the next intake of testers... or you could just wait for the game to go live, which I don't think will be that long at all now ;)

Yup Tactical Ops weapons with the regular capture the flag was the best. I still have the latest mod file on a disk. I dont know if you can put mods on this steam version so im building a old P4 system to play it again

I absolutely loooved me some Tactical Ops, dude. Tbh, far more than say CS 1.6.

Pretty sure I played that mod. Got it off of an old PC Gamer demo disk that came with the magazines. Those disks came with a few UT mods... Tactical Ops was one.. Spatial Fear was a total conversion.. and then there was a silly little 'Olympics' map that was a time trial for impact jumping and the like. I think I still have a couple dozen of those disks.
