extra map packs and mods

so i haven't played this game since i was like 9, anyways i was wondering if anybody knows where to get extra maps. (specifically there is one that's a HUGE bathroom) Also if possible can someone teach me or walk me through how to add those maps and extra mods/ weapons

Lots of sites for UT and Unreal in general. A simple web search should pull up some of them. Off the top of my head, Old Unreal is a good one for maps, few others out there.

Installation, basically all you do is download the files and copy/place them in the system folder, maps or the sound folder depending on the file. Some map files come with no sound files. You might have to look around a bit to locate the proper places, but once you find them, it's fairly straight forward.

Not much going online these days, might want to take note, most servers are dead or too far away in Europe. Unless you are playing offline. Still a great game imo, better than any UT that followed. Best of luck.

every map i put on it says "cannot find file for package SGTech1. failed launching url

the file only hap the map in it too. very confusion.

IIRC SGTech1 is from the official Bonus Pack 4, which for some reason isn't included in the GOTY edition. Install that one and those maps should work.
