Always try to use these first since they do not emulate as the game engine officially supports these.
Thanks for the correction. To be honest, I was just parroting a reply to the other post I had made regarding this topic.
D3D10 has issues for me, also it is not as much compatible as DX9 is imo..
Go here http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ for the best renderers for UT99. You can also find renderers for OpenGL, wich is pretty much best, but for me it stutters the game, so i went with d3d9
Dont forget to put the renderer in out ut ini file, the page explanes how.
Good shout on D3D9! Have just given it a go and seems to work nicely, unlike D3D10
Which is strange as D3D10 was working fine too, until I reinstalled Windows
