Unreal Tournaments 2003 and 2004 are pretty much the same game. The only difference is that UT2004 not only has all of UT2003's content, but new content as well.

Most UT 2003 and 2004 content are interchangeable, I just wanted to add, that a lot of mods work on both.

thanks guys but i have very faint memories of unreal 2003, is there a campaign mode for the game? or should i just give up and get 2004?

The campaigns between the games are really not that different, either. You just play match after match until you get to the boss at the end.

Oh it dewfiniatly does NOT have all content of 2003. on top of that 2003 is made on the UE2 engine while 2004 or made on the vastly superior 2.5 version of the engine

Aside from missing the second Lava Giant map by default, yes they are. You can just download it at Unreal Playground.

So maps is the only content?

What about music, player models?.... Yes, we can argue you can probally download those but on vanilla installations (And yes, I include the DE/GOTY editions ea), they are still not in so unless you third party it, they are -not- in.

Not to speak of music too. lol

Oh.. and before I forgot.. gameplay balancing.. very different in 2003... lol

I know this is way late, but 2004 is far superior. It adds awesome game types, which sometimes include many different vehicles, closer to Halo.
