Pier of the Unknown DLC for 100%?

This DLC will be required to 100% the game fully right? It is not just some optional content but essential expansion, right?

It doesn't have any impact on the main story, but it does have a story of its own, if that matters. I guess it really depends on what you mean by "true 100%".

All achievements are unchanged from launch and therefore don't require any of the additional content released afterwards, while the DLC adds a new mini-area with one quest that expands on the lore but has no relevance to the rest of the plot. The only additions that could count towards "100%" are the 12 unique monsters which are unobtainable outside of the Pier.

dlc makes getting 100% achievs easier but is not needed to get 100%. dlc monsters count towards the "all" monsters acheives but those ones don't mean all they mean a number of monsters equal to the amount available in the base game. so basically you can skip 12 base game monsters if you get all of them in pier.

You can get all achievements on Steam with just the base game. The DLC is not necessary to reach 100% on Steam.

You can always play though the base game. If you like it, you can pick up the DLC later.
