So I just found Glaistain in the abandoned church, but I didn't have the proper cassette to record it. so I escaped the fight because I don't want to eliminate it before I can get a record. And now it doesn't reappear in the church, will it be there again in future or I just completely missed the opporunity?

it will spawn randomly in the overworld after ya meet it, it seems. I have fought it a dozen times or so now.

Also, Glaistain is special in that "the proper cassette" doesn't technically exist. There are no other glass-type monsters except bootlegs, so you're stuck with chrome tapes instead of the type-specific tapes you can use for nearly everything else.
