She ended up in a place where her "delusions" are the way the world actually works. Kuneko and Viola existing make people question the nature of reality.

I was honestly expecting Sunny to be a surprise companion. Maybe in a DLC or a sequel?

Sunny isn't really post-game though, you mainly just clear Eugene's Main story mission and the event will happen 90%+ of the time whenever you enter the cafe which has done so in the 2 saves i have, but yeah her not being a partner is a bit of a shame, we can always be hopeful though considering unlocking her is quite easy even though Eugene's quest is tasking....

Couldn't test it the game just closed, but for the night she was gone afterwards.
