That being said, if you only want your monster to have a SINGLE move that goes off several times immediately, then you might as well just fill it with RANDOM starter instead ! The chance for random starter to go off is calculated on its own, and THEN it choses an ACTIVE skill. This means that giving a monster a single move + filling the rest with random starters makes every random starter (that goes off) use that specific move, there's no chance of a random starter activating another random starter and wasting its own activation.
Custom Starter
<Move>
Custom Starter
<Move>
And then you'd only have 4 slots left for other stuff.
As Doca also said, if you want to dedicate a beast to switching in and then doing the same move multiple times, and you don't care about having other moves on that beast, you can slap one copy of that move and then seven Random Starter stickers, and each Random Starter will have its chance to proc with only your one active move to choose from.
so it depends on what exactly you're trying to do.
i discovered it when trying a moveset like this:
Custom Starter
Glitter Bomb
Custom Starter
Smack
this caused Custom Starter: Glitter Bomb to activate twice instead of activating Glitter Bomb and then Smack
my workaround was to replace one of the Custom Starters with a Rare version, so I think what causes this bug is when you use identical (stacked in inventory) copies of Custom Starter/Critical Mass/etc. the game decides to use the first one in the list whenever the rest of them proc
Custom Starter
Glitter Bomb
Custom Starter
Custom Starter
Work to activate Glitter Bomb multiple times? or does it look like the additional Custom Starters need to meet the requirement of having something valid beneath them?
In the meantime, until this bug is fixed, I guess you can stack custom starter stickers, just make sure the top one on the list has a valid target underneath and then slap in as many more as you want. Should be just as effective as Random Starter spam but with the bonus of being able to have additional moves for actual use at the end of the list. Or you could toss an Echolocation at the top of the list before the Custom Starters to make a single target custom starter hit all enemies without the chance that Random Starter has of just re-casting the echo.
