game crashes on startup

When I start the game, it crashes within five seconds. I've tried restarting the computer and redownloading the game to no avail. I have played for an hour before, what should I do?

Last patch seems to broke it when you have a 4090. Or at least all people I know with this problem have a 4090

I also have a 4090 and encountered this issue since the most recent update. To get around it I downloaded an older version of the game to play temporarily until the devs resolve this and update the game.

To do this Run steam://open/console by pressing the windows key + R and pasting it in the empty field then hitting enter.
Once you've got the steam console window up copy the following in to the empty field at the bottom and hit enter; download_depot 1321440 1321441 4208660123305857127
This will download the previous version of the game in the background, once it's done some text will appear, close this window and you can locate the old files in the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\content\app_1321440\depot_1321441 assuming your Steam installation is in the same place as mine.
I then just launched the executable from here and I'm playing as I was before the last update, you can also try copying them in to the normal game directory if you'd like to try launching from your Steam library but this didn't work for me.

Also without a 4090 :D

I went to windows graphics settings and started the game with my inbuilt graphic card rather than my good one, after that the game started. Later I turned off fullscreen mode and was able to go back to the good graphics card without a crash
