Bug: sequence breaking Viola's quest

I met her bro in the shallow water, and thought to myself "Okay, I'll go tell her in a bit once I'm done exploring this area."
Then I went north and unlocked the train station under the boat.
Then I fast-travelled to Harbourtown, did some shopping, and went to go tell Viola about her bro.
"Do you want to bring Viola with you?" Huh what sure okay. I brought her to Harbourtown and bought some cool stickers for her tape.
Then, to resume her quest, I just fast-travelled back to the train station. The boss gate opened, I went and beat him up.
Okay, so with him toasted, what do I do about Viola's quest again? I checked my quest log, then I went outside the ship and the dialogue makes *absolutely no earthly sense at all* once that boss is done.
I was eventually able to complete the quest by completely re-exploring the ship area and then taking Viola for a chat at the cafe, but the quest log was *very wrong* about what my next step was for a while there, and Viola herself seems to have crippling short-term memory problems about the boss we just fought three minutes ago.

I think the door to the ship isn't supposed to open until you bring Viola to that area, so the bug here is that you were able to get into the ship before viewing that scene.

Shoruke, are you able to remember how you managed to get into the shipwreck without Viola?

It wasn't locked. I just walked right in.
I saw the scene where Sebastian shows up and says "bring Viola here", and from there I went north and then right into the ship.

I had made it to the bottom of the ship and unlocked the fast travel part of the train station before I even told Viola where I saw Sebastian.

I should also mention I didn't see any cutscenes inside the ship.
I thought it was basically just a cave to explore for items until I found the train station.

For the developers, I just want to piggyback on this thread. I was able to get into the boat without Viola as well yesterday. From what I remember, the door was closed, but I was able to walk through it when I walked up to it with the blue electric crate over my head. I had already tried to open it once empty handed and had no luck. I then got stuck in the boat soft lock under water, which I had to console command out of.

I also "finished" the quest, but after beating the train station and warping back to the Cafe, there was no conversation. I'm not really sure what scene I skipped. It just tells me I still need to explore the wreck with Viola.

Same problem, caused because once I unlocked the area where you fight the archangel I used the train to go elsewhere, it gave me my partner from before Viola asking to find sebastions ghost. I go to cafe pick up viola, then proceed to kill the archangel and see the cutscene where we go back to the cafe. I still have the quest for exploring the shipwreck and I can't progress viola, or fuse with her.
