Will I get another chance to record a certain monster I missed?

A little bit ago, I stumbled into the church and ended up fighting Glaistain. I tried to record it, but unfortunately it got knocked out by poison before I could pull it off. I then tried to reset to try again, but alas the game had already autosaved by that point. Will I get another chance to record it later on, or am just I out of luck?

Given that not only is there a base version, but all bootleg (i.e. shiny) versions for all the different elements, I'm fairly certain you'll have more chances of getting a particular monster. Even if I'm still not as far into the game as you are.

Yeah, I encountered one just standing around in the postgame. You'll get another shot, which is a relief because I missed a similar one when it one-shot the person recording it and then died. Edit: once you complete the first round of billboard quests, you should get a 'fusion radar,' then check the map for 'unidentifified signals,' those are rare monsters just hanging around.
