Questions about Ritual Candles
Can someone who has done actual testing tell me how ritual candles work in certain situations?

1. Do Unstable Fusions count as fusion encounters for the sake of ritual candle? If not, do they still consume the effect of ritual candle?

2. If the sacrificed tape is of a monster type that cannot normally spawn in Rogue Fusions (ex. static encounters like Glaistain), would the ritual candle allow a bootleg of them to spawn in fusions? Or would only the part of ritual candle relating to type apply?

3. How does ritual candle work with Miss Mimic encounters specifically? If the player is above level 65, Miss Mimic static encounters can sometimes be with a fusion containing Miss Mimic, instead of just Miss Mimic. Does this count as a fusion encounter for ritual candle? Does Miss Mimic's ability to spawn this way means ritual candle treats her differently than other static encounters? If it has no effect, does it still consume a ritual candle use?

4. If the sacrificed tape is a bootleg, would ritual candle consider the bootleg type, or the base type of the species? (Ex. if a Grass bootleg Traffikrab is sacrificed, would the resulting bootleg be Traffikrab and/or Grass-type, or Traffikrab and/or Plastic-type?)

5. Probably most important, if the fusion fought after a ritual candle use didn't contain an affected bootleg (ex, no bootleg at all, or a bootleg of a different type and species than the sacrificed tape), is the ritual candle use still consumed, or do the effects of ritual candle only wear off when they are actually applied?

1. Unstable Fusions count as fusion encounters
2. It worked with Kuneko and I'm pretty sure it would work so long as you go to any rogue fusion (not the static encounter), not sure about Glaistains and Averevoir's specifically
3.Miss Mimic Encounters work with ritual encounters if it's the rogue fusion variant, not the single miss mimic encounter
4. bootleg will consider bootleg type and the current species (tested with Wind Anathema since you can technically farm bootlegs with fission)
5. Not sure about this one since I've never seen that happen for a fusion. I recall if you go down to some of the holder patches/hotfixes they mention some of the ritual candles had bugs and would be consumed.

Thanks for the response, but there are still a few lingering questions I have.
1. Does the ritual candle affect the Anathema in Unstable Fusions, or just the other monster? (Just the type effect, it'd be stupid if ritual candles let you replace Anathema in those encounters.)
2. Just need a bit of clarification. So for monsters that can't normally spawn in fusion encounters, ritual candles allow them to spawn?
3. Same as 1. In Miss Mimic Rogue Fusion encounters, is the Miss Mimic affected by the ritual candle, or just the other monster?
4. You mentioned farming bootlegs with fission. How does that work?
5. I may not have been clear in my question, but I'm pretty sure that it is possible for fusion encounters after a ritual candle to not spawn a bootleg. In those cases, is the effect consumed?

1. I've gotten an unstable fusion with 2 anathems before (only 1 was bootleg), should be a giga anathema iirc
2. ritual candles allow static encounters to spawn in rogue fusions 50% of the time (only tested on kuneko, but I assume averevoir and galastain behave in a similar manner)
3. same as 1, I've seen miss mimic as a bootleg and sometimes also just her typing as a bootleg, I've also gotten a double miss mimic fusion with one being a bootleg
4. Each fission anathema count as a separate entity. So if you get a bootleg anathema you can spam walls and wait for the anathema to do a fission then start recording them. Of course main issue is the health going splitting each time. I managed to get 3 bootleg wind anathemas this way. I would not advise doing this with glitter or type advantaged anthemas since you can't wall stall. Also if your not careful if one dies then the other anathemas might enter a chain of self destructs.
5. I'm not sure about this one since it's never occurred to me, sounds like a bug or possible autosave issue.

1. and 3. I don't mean "if you sacrifice Anathema/Miss Mimic, would the corresponding monster in the encounter be a bootleg?" I mean "if you sacrifice something that isn't one of those two monsters, could Anathema/Miss Mimic be a bootleg of the sacrifice's type?"
4. That seems like a bit of an oversight, but is there a practical reason why you'd need more than one bootleg wind anathemas?
6. What about Monster #000, Magicrab ? If you sacrifice it, like a mad lad, would it be able to spawn as a bootleg in Rogue Fusions?

1 and 3 not sure about, I think it might have happened once, but I was save scumming to try and get a specific bootleg.
4. is definitely oversight, but say you get a glitter anathema, you can theoretically get 3 of any type anathemas ) and then use 2 of those anathemas as fodder to try and get more types of other species. Would probably be most use with glitter anathemas.
6. You can spawn bootleg fusions of that. I recall someone had a list of all the bootleg variants of it.

I... think I might want to do that now.

In fact, I'm pretty sure this is the only way to get bootlegs of that monster. Which means you'll need to find 14 of the damned things to truly complete the bestiary. :steamsad:
