However since the game is on team too, I would like some news or see the developer here once in a while.
Cassette Beasts has been fully designed with co-op in mind. When you fuse, you fuse with one of six NPC characters. There's always one of these characters with you on your journey, and all battles are balanced for 2 v 2. So during co-op we can give control of the secondary character to player 2, and it feels like a natural, integral part of the game, not like an assist mode at all!
As for the release date, we'll share it when we know for sure when it'll come out! We updated the store page with a new trailer today--check it out: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1321440/Cassette_Beasts/
That's some stuff I liked to hear, I will check it out.
I thought I had asked already, but how far do you want the friendship system to go?
Some nice (wholesome? is that the right word?), scenes, like a milestone?
Maybe a romance with once character?
That will most likely not something planned for the game, but I can't deny to really like such small stuff and hope this will be an enjoyable part of the game.
Not sure if this helps, but while I believe I saw enough designs I could enjoy, I hope there will be more coll looking once like the bat fusion or the onces fighting against that skelleton monster.
If that helps, I belive I was always one that prefered the second or maybe even first form on a pokemon and kind of hates some of the new pokemons third evolution when I still played it.
I get what you mean about preferring middle evolutions. If a monster's main appeal is its cuteness and it evolves into something less cute, even if more powerful, it loses that initial appeal, right? We've discussed this in our dev team before, and have designed some evolutions that stay cute, for instance.
Well yes, always kinda aiming for the elegant, cool and cute pokemon.
edit: Cass, Masquerattle, Spooky-Onna are my favourites from the shoppage, the rest at least okay. I would say that I'm not the biggest fan of the chinese dog however.
Ohhh I think I haven't really seen the new trailer yet, music sounds different from the one on youtube. (from some XBOX channel?)
0:05 The paladin/knight creature is my favourite there.
0:20 That TV one.
0:30 The little one that the dark skinned guy with the afro turns into (player char?)
0:58 kinda all of them are okay. The chinese dragon is still my least favourite.
1:00 Nr. 1 Snowghost, 2 Bird and Seal, 3 pyramid squid.
1:10 The final picture? (seems to be the cover art on the shoppage too) All of them beside the pink robot , the blue crocodile beside the logo and the mechanical lizard robo in the right corner are not so my thing.
Oh just noticed the weird ufo in the middle^^.
Okay sorry, getting kinda excited about the game again.
Nothing from me tonight anymore
