Added this game to my wish list in 2020 and haven't really heard much since. Is this a dead project or is the game still being developed?

Is it more of a tutorial sort of single player to ready the player for multiplayer? Because I just don't have enough friends to enjoy a game like this and I am not really that into pvp games. I just want to manage my expectations as I love Wuppo. ...

Yes, there will be a short (but well-rounded) story mode, featuring dialogues with some of the characters.
