I'm someone whos going into this never playing the ogs but have always been interested. I'm hearing that this doesn't play as well as the ogs and I'm really on the fence now. So is it worth?

Go to the game's page on your library, click controller configuration, click the left analog, go to advanced settings, then change your deadzone from circle to square.

As someone who briefly dabbled in the originals. I have had an amazing time with this one and impressed myself with being able to complete majority of the levels which I initially worried about.

All the stuff about physics and monkey target really wont matter unless you are a purist or something.

It's worth it. It's good. The issues it has are small enough to all be fixed in 1 patch. Whether or not they patch them, who knows, but they're still so small that it shouldn't be an issue long term.

I would say it's 92% there. If they can iron out the last 8% it'd be perfect.

as someone who played monkey ball 1 and 2 to death, this is a very very good remake

can conform worth, though don't expect a 1:1, announcer's different, physics is slightly different, some stages have had some small tweaks. original music's there as a dlc/deluxe buy tho

It's a kinda tacky, less stellar version of the GameCube originals, but for the convenience of being able to play both together without Deluxe's gimped story mode, plus being able to play it on modern hardware + Steam Cloud support, it's at least worth the base price, maybe the deluxe edition (I'd recommend the deluxe for the original soundtrack, the new music is very hit-or-miss).
