Beautiful Light

Beautiful Light

You're losing people with the premise
Lose your life and your gear?

So you're saying it's a game which is structured to reward the winner, and bury the people who lose deeper and deeper because with worse equipment the game will be even harder for them.

A la Tarkov and Marauders, usually in these games gear is really easy to come by, thus offsetting the losses while keeping the stakes up.

that is the point as far as I know in extraction shooters

Hello Tech-Priest,
Thanks for sharing your concern,

But we are an extraction shooter, this is literally the point of those game.
I would quote some famous streamer from Tarkov : git g00d.

However, if you don't like loosing your stuff, we still support custom and private server, where there is no progression system.

You're saying your flight simulator will make me sit in a plane? So you're saying it's a game that will simulate flying and not cater to people who want to build a peaceful farm?

I BELIEVE the OP's primary concern if you are learning the game and you die consistently, then how do they have any chance to win with little to no gear? Is there starter gear to at least to give newbies or even people who have a run of bad luck at least a fighting chance? Or are you stuck with a friggin knife? Is there gear insurance if another player does not pick it up for a chance to get it back? etc....

Maybe address that before you unprofessionally say something like "git g00d" to a potential customer. To me when a developer responds like that...they do not deserve my hard earned $$$, as they will not be grateful for the support from me.

anyway despite that...interesting looking game.

Hello ChubbyNinja,

I would like to address your primary concern first.

Our game has been designed with various scenarios in mind, including the situations you've mentioned. To address own in-game economy issues, we recommend participating in raids as an Anomaly. In a broader context, rest assured that item pricing and rewards are carefully balanced and adhere to a logical structure within the game.

Addressing your secondary concern, if you find Deep Worlds' communication style to be informal or slightly taunting and prefer a more formal approach, please be aware that it is unlikely to change. You are absolutely correct in asserting that it's important to support studios and games that align with your preferences.

The fantastic aspect of the gaming industry in 2023 is the abundance of studios and games available, offering you a wide array of choices to find the perfect fit for your taste.

They are going to have the ability to play as an "anomaly" I'm assuming it will function just like scav runs do on Tarkov. As far as if you lose consistently it makes the game harder....yeah...that's how this genre of game works....
They lost me with online only lol. You're not wrong though. I get it, if you don't like what the games focus is then it's just not for you. That said it is kinda sucky games these days don't seem to care about just having fun.

Pretty fed up with online games in general. Sure they produce the most dynamic play (if there is a huge player base) with every other negative you can think of. Yay +1 to dynamics + 1^e to toxic douches, lag, cheaters, non-functional FPS destroying Anti-Cheat, leased game play ditched as soon as it stops making money, with no dynamic play once the community is drawn to something flashier...wait so the only big draw, the dynamic play is worthless if the game doesn't become a hit you say?

I guess there is no place for players like me in this disposable ADHD world.

As a note to the OP's point heaven forbid they have a system like casual/ranked where Ranked you get screwed but casual you could do that crazy thing like just have fun.

But this looks fun, just because you don't enjoy the genre doesnt mean others like me that love these types of games. Hunt/tarkov/dayz, so this will be great fun for me.

i do not get what the problem is, games with loot loss have lots of loot gains

it would be another story if it takes you hours to get gear but you get this stuff raid to raid

I understand your feeling,

Be sure, that what we are focusing is to make a fun game, but what is a fun game for me, doesn't look like what you expect to be a fun game. I'm pretty sure some game will fit your taste, but obviously not us.

And that okay, a game just can't fill everybody need.
@Aherys yeah it's not for me. It looks fun, so in premise and such it's totally up my alley but online only is a deal breaker. The punishment bit the OP brings up is just an added negative. If you can't pause a game you will probably get killed and lose everything you built up because, a wasp is in the house, a cat is throwing up, a roommate is screaming (it's spider season) or your guts have decided to reenact Hiroshima.

Never mind that issue where if the game doesn't get huge the player base is nill which often means game servers vanish and you can't play the game you paid for. i.e. all these online games are just leased with a "surprise" lease end clause.

That's the whole reason I'm looking forward to it, if it wasn't this I wouldn't probably be excited.
It's to each their own, and the extraction shooters are getting popular by the day.
If you don't like this type, simply don't play it.

I am excited what the devs will bring, and based on the recent videos on youtube it looks goooood. Hopefully it will not be forgotten in Early Access hell, and many people will pick it up.

Some people (like myself) are in dire need of something to replace Hunt: Showdown.
This game probably not meant for you then, and long as the game is good and well made, they wont lose much
