Any word on the games length?
The only other thread talking about it is very old. Hoping its longer than 5 hours.

The recent FAQ they posted stated 8 hours if you rush through so sounds like typical survival horror game length.

If you rush through the main story, a playthrough will take approximately 8 hours, but keep in mind that you will need at least two playthroughs to get the whole story (one as Edward, one as Emily).

I kind of hope there'll be a New Game+ mode with unlock-able content like in the Resident Evil and Silent Hill games.

I think 16 hours if you play both characters

What I've heard from ign preview they said each character has about 8 hours if you would "rush" your playtrough.

Developers are making it too easy for themselves these days. A playing time that is far too short is glossed over by the fact that there are different endings. Sorry, but once I've played a game extensively, I don't play it all over again just to see a marginally different ending. Great. There are hardly any games left that offer you an extensive story that takes you through many locations and gives you a lot to do so that you end up with a satisfying playing time. Today you add a little alternative ending, and presto you have a reason to play the game a second time, and presto you have double the playing time. And if I haven't found all the archives, I can even play it a third time. But none of that matters to me. I wouldn't buy a 3-hour game for 20 euros just because the developer told me I could easily play the game 10 times because the gameplay is never exactly the same. That still doesn't make this game a 30-hour game. And 50 Euro for a game with around 8 hours for one playthrough is defenitely too expensive. I will wait for a sale.
I'm not a fast player, quite the opposite. I often need three times as much playing time as others would need because I like to explore everything at my leisure. Most of the time, however, it's the games themselves that simply don't offer you enough to allow you to spend a meaningful amount of time in the game world outside of the plot thread. And then I won't be able to get a long playing time either. Because the game itself rushes me through the plot because it doesn't offer any other interesting sights or activities.

The powepyx guide (it's for ps5 but i guess it still applies here) says 15-20h for 100% trophies/achievements and on psnp adds to users asking about the 3h speedrun gold trophy (how tight the time is) that if you know where to go it's super easy to do it in around 1h and 30.

I agree with you. I hope this game follows Resident Evil 2's path though where you basically get two campaigns.

took me 20 hours because i took my time and enjoyed looking around and finding everything. Working on 2nd playthrough atm to get everything.
StubbsPL Mar 20, 2024 @ 3:39am
Gmanlives in his review said 6 hours for first playthrough and 3 for the second

So I guess 8-9 hours total
