I will personally miss the freedom of being able to copy Storage Depots as I please though... But I haven't played enough with the change to know if I like it or not.
Now wild cards became necessary resource which is great because earlier they were... Useful at most. And this is great because this is forcing you to pay attention to additional detail (your count of wild cards) which is something you should be looking in strategy/economy game...
But the fact that wild card must remain on deck so you can copy paste is the most stupid thing this game have /had.
The copy button only exists as a QoL thing so you don't have to hunt through a huge list of buildings if you want to build the same one a few times, not to negate a gameplay mechanic.
The recent change to the copy building button was a well-considered decision, supported by feedback from various segments of the player base, including casuals, hardcore players, the Asian community (Kook), Discord, Reddit, and Steam communities. The majority of players have voted in favor of this change, and it has received little to no negative feedback.
The card system is the heart of Kingdoms Reborn, and its integrity is essential for maintaining the game’s unique identity. This change doesn’t just fix a broken mechanic but also enriches the game by encouraging players to carefully plan and manage their resources. It’s a positive step that reflects thoughtful game design and community collaboration.
It’s really unQoL!
Or if you want a wild card to be used it (wild card) must be stored somewhere and just automatically deducted when copy paste is initiated.
Or don’t use wild card at all!
It doesn’t make sense that it has an effective effect on gameplay, it really does not have. And it occupies the deck card because it has to be in there (deck) before you can use copy paste.
I myself don’t store wild card because it just occupy your inventory. There is no way that that I use it very much until I make a colony. I don’t copy building that much because there is no need for me until the end. My style of game (deity) dies not really need much wild card. And this game really doesn’t need wild card (at all). Rolling and rerolling is cheap!
Right now if you PvP with AI you rather have steal, kidnap, or even immigration card than wild card on deck. Now add raid card and your units and wild card has no place except in card inventory that you can’t initiate copy paste if you want to.
So what’s the point of requiring wild card to make a copy paste?! For 15 gold + card price, dies that really make an effective mechanics?! Not at all.
