I have gotten all mine in chest in the poison land. I wish the drop rate was better.

IDK, I have not found enough of the feathers yet to make the angel wings. I only have like 5 or 6.

also dose having wings prevent fall damage? it seems like as long as im not out of stamina and have flapped my wings at least once, i take no fall damage

the wings only need 5, you have enough to make them

Ya, if you flap just before hitting the ground should be safe. At least in my experience. It's when you run out of stamina that is an issue. LOL

Oh, I need to go check my recipe then. I thought I still needed more. Thanks.

well with all my stamina reduction skills (not enchantments) using the griffin wings i could fly all the way up to the top of the tower so if you can go higher then that with angle wings, then they are worth it

They are definitely an upgrade, though it may or may not be by that much depending on how you look at it. I can get to the top of the tower using full stamina with angel wings, but the griffin wings only carry me maybe 7/8 of the way up. For short distances, I don't think the difference matters too much. I am playing on hell though, which has 20% increased stamina usage, so the difference might be a lot more noticeable on lower/regular difficulties.

The magic feathers can appear in chests as early as Brigandine Valley. Basically slap on a detector and run through the higher level zones. If you're still going through the zones doing quests and leveling, it's even better so that they just accumulate over time. I've also noticed that chests tend to appear a lot around the boss arenas and that chests respawn as soon as you exit and re-enter the game.

ohh they respawn?! that's good to know
dose the skill endurance effect the wings? from my limited testing it seems to have some effect. as the skill to reduce glider stamina usage seems to effect the wings as well as with griffin wings and those two skills i was able to get up and over the tower

Personally, I just use a jetpack. You can get the base one from collecting enough of those orbs.
I inherited mine from legacy.

And lately, I advanced the tech level far enough to unlock the upgraded jetpack and I made that.
I get crude oil from smacking bedrock with a pickaxe. Making fuel from crude oil is also really easy. Fuel drains fairly slowly regardless of which jetpack you use and four stacks (which is just one inventory slot) of fuel can last you a long time.

I swap to a glider for the glider challenges, but sometimes, I'm like "eh, whatever" and I just slowly jetpack around, collecting the things and finishing with plenty of time to spare.

There's an easier way to cancel fall damages. Just activate any skill (heals, buffs, atk skills, spells, etc... might also work using food or a potion) and this will reset your falling speed.
