What does multiplayer actually look like? Is it essentially like Minecraft, where each person just doesn't their own thing, and you can cooperate if you want?

Is LAN easy to do? Like you just start up a world and hit the LAN button, like Minecraft? Or is there a complicated set up in some way?

Does this have split-screen type play, or does each person have to purchase their own copy?

Also, is this decent for little kids? My kids are 5 and 7, and love Minecraft and Stardew Valley. Would this be an acceptable difficulty for them do you think?

co-op not multi and from reading posts is still buggy and hard to connect. from my standpoint? not really for kids that young. for them stick to cozy.

Yes, it is just like Minecraft. No guilds or whatnot, you can build, they can build. You can troll if you want. But everyone can see each other on the minimap.

I've played a far bit of multiplayer now with a friend and friends can do whatever they want and play just like you can. I don't know about kids but the game is good for sandboxing more than I expected honestly. Once I got the furniture box the game became more fun also.
