So the best way to roll would be using 1 material with each enchantment you want, and the rest regular materials, so your special materials last a lot longer? Do we know if the number of special materials in the craft affects the chances of getting that mod?
It is possible to have up to four modifiers, but you'll likely need many of it to actually get them on your item. You can also craft multiple items at the same time but with for example two different stones in the case of arrows to still get multiple modifiers.
