How do we feel about palworld, craftopia bros?
Bought palworld and it would be amazing if palworld's polish (movement, combat, animations) were to also be in craftopia...i feel like craftopia is amazing but the jank sometimes throws me off...

Also it doesn't seem like craftopia could be a massive success like palworld any time soon so i'm also kind of worried this game would be on life support only receiving bug fixes :(

I feel like separate teams or not craftopia Is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ embarrassing blemish on this company. Two competing open world survival crafts and one of them clearly gets more of daddies love. I bought this game 3 years ago for it to be bumped out by its own company asking me to pay them another set of money for largely what we already ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ paid for.

Ea is for paying for development why did we pay for those resources to fund a competing product that we have to buy again.

Sorry but I'm personally not
buying palworld I'll keep hoping I get my initial ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ value.

Every single bit of polish in palworld should be present in craftopia we have two games about throwing everyone in balls and exploiting them nothing about palworld expect it having a clearer vision makes this situation make sense. Why are the early supporters of this company getting so throughly shafted. Splitting focus was 100 percent this company cannibalizing itself.

actually true

they have two "competing" games that are basically the same one with different development efforts on them. maybe they will refocus the craftopia design into linear story or building and sandbox back again to make it "different", if not ditch it altogether. maybe even fuse the two games together or abandon craftopia

Yea a part of me hoped for a tale of two wastelands happened but if they are on two engines that's impossible.

Still one thing that could happen is they see what works in paleworld and bring them here. Or use money fron paleworld polish craftopia. Although a part of me does wonder if craftopia needs to be abandoned.

The game had been unfocused from beginning to end and filled with systems that do nothing. Maybe making a new more refined game would make a better product.

Palworld is indeed on unreal so even lessons learned can't even directly transfer to Craftopia. Difference really shows too, the graphic fidelity and performance between the two is just incomparable.

Craftopia is more of my jam if not for the jank tbh, you can't even breed humans and cookem in Palworld like in craftopia. And Palworld don't have that cauldron or pooping mechanic.

Craftopia's biggest issue is its identity crisis, Palworld is a more focused game which greatly helps it.

I think Craftopia needs to focus more on the crafting/survival elements and make everything else secondary. Palworld has a focus on creature catching with everything else building off that which is why Palworld works much better than Craftopia already.

Craftopia when I picked up had more of a focus of building a factory to solve the island puzzle and advance tech. But then they started to throw in other mechanics that distract from that identity. So I hope that they can get back on track soon now that the open world update is out.
craftopia did change since i've brought it ( probably 3 years ago where it were merely just small island) we'll see if update keep comming for craftopia and palworld

Early Access is an investment, any time I buy an early access game I always do so with the idea that it could simply die.
Don't buy early access if you are not comfortable with that possibility

I've enjoyed my time with craftopia, if this is it, cool - if not, even better!

I personally say ignore the fact a game is early access and buy it based on how the game is currently, if you don't think it's worth the asking price then skip currently then skip it.

I used to say that Craftopia wasn't worth it but now I'm leaning more towards it's worth it.

Devs might benefit from making a post about their plans. Yes, they could potentially lie, but still.
