-adjust camera settings.
-use the mod that decreases it.
-get used to it. wasn't an issue with anyone till seamless released 2,5 years later...
I adjusted my camera settings and it's still obnoxiously huge and overly bright for how much screen real estate it takes up.
If something built into the game needs a mod to fix, it's bad design. Hence the post here.
"Get used to it" is just a ♥♥♥♥ take. If a particular aspect of a game is unintentionally obstructive to vision, it should be pointed out. I don't care if it's been 2.5 years. If it's been this way for 2.5 years then it's been badly designed for 2.5 years.

The above mods have been helping me keep the Magic shield from view with a nice little visual. the QoL mod is what has the shield and the others, from what I guess helps it work. Other than the new update bugging up my base these have worked with no crashes during game play, but it tends to act up/crash when you're exiting the game. This has had no real effect on my saved worlds on my side. Not sure about others who could end up having less RAM than what I'm using. 64 gigs in case someone needs to know.
I appreciate it, thank you very much. I do hate to need a workaround for something so silly as a simple obstructive shield but I'll put this into play and see how it goes. Thanks again!
Sigh, just put it in the base game.
