Dedicated server?

When will it be updated, its unusable now and waiting to play the game until the dedicated server software gets updated to the same version as the game.

I believe the roadmap is in the screen that pops up when you launch the game.

actually after checking the roadmap thats even worse as they claim it doesn't even exist yet but there is actually already one its just not up to date XD

They did a complete overhaul of the game a while back, so the dedicated servers no longer work. They roadmap is for work after the Seamless update was launched.
Multiplayer does not currently work.

Multiplayer works fine, it's rare I play this by myself. There's just no dedicated servers, which is fine for this kind of game, with the way progression is tied to the world, only the first person to play on any given server would actually get to play.

Multiplayer "works" to some extent, but it's full of serious, game breaking bugs. Which is ok, it's early access and this is clearly stated when logging in. But in it's current state multiplayer is not playable for a huge amount of players, at least those joining other worlds.

me and 2 friends play pretty regularly together in multiplayer, occasionally there is something ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up (i can think of 4 bugs, one where guests can't farm, one where sometimes one player leaving causes another to disappear as if they also left, one where the game sometimes freezes on entering a dungeon, and one where if the server is booted up then items being created in crafting stations will be invisible to guests) but overall it's very playable
