Here is a post from the devs showing their plans.

And what exactly you suggest to research to make the game state better? It is clearly worse than it was before, no amount of research will show otherwise. Did developers even said that they will return what was removed or it is just an assumption from you?
Large amounts of content was removed and is planned for like 2+ months later.
And about "new worlds, new problems". I cannot really remember any other game where half the content was removed because of some new world. Well, except Destiny 2, but that is a different story. I guess I've heard of something like this in completely broken games, but those never survived for long after that. You are literally just closing your eyes to the issues and repeating "everything will be good, I believe in it" mantra when facts shows directly opposite.
And why would new players even care about this? It's like saying "I'm frustrated because an item that existed in a previous version 3 years ago when I wasn't even playing was removed!".
They always treated Seamless as a new game. In fact, just allowing the possibility to inherit old items is a gift from the devs. Most games would've just wiped the data clean and forced you to start over again from scratch.
You are buying into an EA game. Stuff change and move around. If you want something more solid, just wait until release.
Sure, but it has nothing to do with the removed content, which is what the OP is concerned about.
I think the problem lies at people who belittle Seamless as "an update" that fixed some bugs. It's not. It was a total overhaul of the game.
And the changes to the crafting system does make the gameplay loop very different. For those that enjoyed the crafting and gathering pre-Seamless this was not welcome, and it's not something planned to return.
I would definitely give that game a try later when some issues have been sorted, but you might not have a good experience going in to it now.
there is no punishment for accessing restricted zones, there is only an attempt to keep you out of the zones because they are much less finished than the current zones.
there's already like 70 hours of content in the current early access lol, considering the game is $25 retail and very early access that's pretty good
"amount of available content" is specifically not an important question when you are discussing an early access game because it is early access, that is the entire point is that the game is still in progress, if you don't want to play an unfinished game then don't play early access titles, it is really that simple
Essentially what they have done is released the first few "islands" with their items and delivery quests and left a "final" delivery quest that would give you access to the next set of items unable to be completed. They did that so you don't get access to a bunch of stuff you cant make yet because the area the items come from isn't complete yet.
They changed from islands you would teleport to, to a single landmass (among other changes like combat rework and dungeons.) They chose to release what they've completed so far, but they just haven't completed the areas that "used to exist" (in the form of islands) so anything that is gated by items coming from those areas was in a way "removed" for now. We may have once had access to "hell" or whatever islands, but now an entirely new area needs to be created to place within the "seamless world" that would serve the same purpose. They cant just copy and paste the islands into the new update.
At the end of the day, legacy still exists if anyone likes that more for now, and whether we agree on timelines for development or not it is still not "finished" 1.0 released so all we can do is give them time. I played another 40ish hours with the new update before i stopped so it's really not bad at all, they just haven't caught "the seamless update" up to legacy yet.
