Griffon feather?

The game says the dungeon boss griffin drops a feather when you examine the glider recipe, the dungeon doesn't show the feather as a drop, a discrepancy..
So I tried to farm for it..
Killed him about 15 times and determined no feathers drop...

Is there a field boss griffin? Is this bugged? Or not implemented?
If it's the latter then why give us the recipe and say the feathers drop from him?

Eh.... The lvl 50 dungeon bosses are supposed to be locked, no? @_@

It might be a really rare drop. Take the Anubis dungeon boss for example. When you look at the list of drops, it says that he only drop eggs, which is COMPLETELY false. He can drop sin potions, 2 different statues of himself and other stuff as well. 1 of the 2 statues is extremely rare. I got it once the 2nd time I fought him, but I was never able to get it again after that.

But if you wanna take a break of fighting the Griffin, you might want to try exploring. In my previous save file, I had found a chest that had 2 Griffin feathers in it.

Yup! I killed over 30 Anubis bosses and I only got that statue once. Guess Ill go smack that evil Griffin a few times to lvl up and see if I could make it drop a feather or 2 while Im at it.

If you wanna try fighting the griffin boss with me in multiplayer mode, let me know! My lvl isnt very high but I have some freakin' strong equipment from the Legacy version!

Did you find one? I beat the griffin so many times that my lvl went from 22 to 36, almost 37, but sadly, I havent found a single griffin feather yet. That said, I didnt get a single Wirbelwind (purple weapon drop) either, so maybe the griffin feather is as rare as a purple drop or maybe even rarer.

I've never found one from defeating the Griffon, personally. The handful i've found have been random chests in the wild.
