Hi, first : if you already played legacy this is not for you.
second : i love this game, this is no bashing/rage post. I love the game and i recommend buying it.

So once you guys complete seamless ( wich is way faster than completing Legacy )
i advice giving a try to Legacy mode.
Let's talk about legacy.

Legacy mode has way more to offer than seamless:
-more bosses ( hydra, zombie dragon, giant worm, purple dragon Fafnir, Executioner, giant snake )
-way more ennemy models and crafts ( orcs, shamans, pumkin head flying wizard, meteor sumonning pokemons... so many ennemies)
-way more loots ( seamless best weapons are tier8, in legacy it goes up to tier 14 )
-way more farming and the absolute need to use automated crafting which is totally useless in seamless, i never had the need to use extrator in seamless for instance, while i had to use many of them at same time in Legacy mode.
Legacy mode is way more demanding and has 5 times more content.
Seamless highest lvl mob is lvl33 in the wild and lvl50 for the dragon, in Legacy it goes past lvl200.
Also there is an endless dungeon that will ask you to fight bosses one after another, getting harder after every fight and if you die you have to restart that specific dungeon from the start, pretty challenging and fun.

And seamless misses two ages compared to legacy

Here is a list of metal ingots available in Legacy for exemple:

Titanium Ingot
Gold Ingot
Platinum Ingot
Diamond Ingot
Obsidian Ingot
Palladium Ingot
Adamantite Ingot
Aluminium Ingot
Heavy Steel Ingot
Shape Memory Alloy
Hardened Platinum Alloy
Elemental Ingot

And you will need them ALL.

Seamless is pretty welcoming and all but tbh i completed it in 3 days while wasting the 3rd day trying the get to scientific age while it's not even available yet...
it should be marked as " not implemented yet " !!

I hope devs add to seamless a way to unlock the island as in legacy, unlocking islands was a wonderfull idea, don't waste it please.

Let's get this out of the way, seamless is still in beta, 3 months down the line it'll have what legacy has and be far better.

Automation is definitely on the back burner but let's not forget in legacy we had this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ system called durability that we constantly had to repair weapons.

Not to mention constant island hopping definitely is not as fun as running through a seamless world. But hey you do you I guess

It's also neat for progressing in seamless.

I gathered up everything I had into mules and imported all of it to seamless. (and stacked it in a huge mess in the first camp) It's a time consuming game and I like "having all the items" and being able to make different builds without getting too sidetracked.

Some of the buildings are disabled. Warning DO NOT place guest tables, you can't pick them up. Everything else seems safe to play with.

If you play legacy you can currently use it to obtain things you otherwise can't in seamless, then move them over when you're done. (transfer npc in first camp holds that character's inventory, you need more characters to hold more items)

This includes all those materials, enchantments (which almost all work, and are all safe to test), capturable monsters, their drops, higher tier equipment.

The battle tank works but makes a horrible noise.

You can still use the gacha machine and loot bags after importing.

I'm building a defense and support focused equipment set around Assault Rifle 3 which is in legacy. Don't bother with gun attachments/addons yet.

@Minterfresh yeah that's true you can import but it's useless in seamless, doing so will only make it end faster. With crap t8 weapons from seamless everything is easily doable, even last frogboss or dragon. Seamless is simply too short to transfer anything.

Btw i'm simply saying that people should try legacy, cause in my opinion i had way more fun playing legacy and i also played it way longer. I started seamless with new game + new charcter, no data tranfer, still completed it in less than 20hours.

Right click on "craftopia" in your library, and then properties > Betas > then use drop-down menu (where it says beta participation, or something similar) to select "legacy version". It should automatically start to download the legacy version.

Wait... I played on xbox game pass before, Played to scientific had a blast... then it left gamepass..
Seamless comes out, saying huge update, new content ect, but im guessing in the fine print says it stops earlier than I was playing progression wise than last time I played? yet I ended up actually paying for it this time, to be able to progress less or downgrade my version?

I'm actually quite upset about this, I just wasted countless hours busting my butt to get back to scientific to start my base building.

The devs are planning two more updates this summer, and so new things will be added to the game (according to the devs). The seamless world update is still a beta version, I guess, so it'll be improved and added to.

my fear is that even with the release of brigandine - iceberg and caves , even released at same time ( let's dream ), it wouldn't change much. few hours of content, maybe 3 evenings of playing at most. That will be few boring quests, 3 dungeons,
i fear that it won't work.
I'll check this game in a year or so, hope it goes well cause i love it.
Craftopia is very fun and interesting. I love some the ideas. let's hope for the best.

Devs have a roadmap that includes all the things from legacy to be re-added but in the new re-imaging of Seamless. If you are not satisfied with the current seamless, then comes back in August when the roadmap states that all the old feature plus more will have been aded back.

Personally while I like the Seamless Map more as is feels more like an actual open world game, I agree that Legacy just has more to do to keep the player engaged. Regardless, its been a blast playing with 7 friends in Impossible mode. Also, its a lot easier to get player new to the game into Seamless than legacy.

I just wish I could pull the weapon manuals back up, I had to close a lot cause of mid fight pop ups.

There's other items that are "bugged": I found 3 barrels in a chest, and foolishly thinking I could either smack them for loot or just pick them up again, I smacked them right into my place...
They've been there for a week now, because I can neither pick them up (not even with the rod) nor destroy them : /
When I got another 3 from another chest I instantly "offered" them.

Anyways, if I wanna give legacy a try, where the hell is my current seamless save so I can back it up first?
I've been looking in the usual places like %userprofile%, %appdata%, even the game's install folder, but I've found nothing...
