Game looks great so far but is dangerous to play
Im running an
I7 8500 12 core
rtx 3070.
running at low settings and using a program called speedfan. All 12 cores and the cpu will shoot to 190 degrees in a matter of 15 mins.
I have 8 120 mil fans and a thermaltake self contained liquid cooler on my cpu.
It should not be getting that hot that fast.

Yes ive messed with settings. Nothing has changed this. Really Hope they get what ever got screwed up in the last 2 years and the " beta testers " missed fixed soon looking forward to playing

My CPU is holding strong, water cooled, but my GPU having a run for it's money. Seems to have stabilized, but they could definitely do with some performance improvements.

i5 6500 & gtx 1660 Ti user here after min maxing graphic
I turned off vsync, limit my fps to 30 and turned off the global illumination
It'll help a lot and only did 30% of CPU & GPU resource, hope it helps

Play it with current setting temporary and waiting for optimization update

need optimization patch.

Didn't think even any Americans did cpu temperatures in F, specially since the max is typically conveniently at 100 degrees Celsius.

Regardless, software can't directly control how much heat your cpu generates, all they can do is utilize all of your cpu. If you're cpu is overheating then you've got issues elsewhere.

well lets see the entire pc is a brand new build 4 months old. i can run any game be it early access or AAA at maxed out settings.....and just to make you happy ..... never get above 45-50 c. Also seeing as many many other players are having the same issues........only able to fix by running on the lowest possible settings. Yea they have screwed up in the coding and will be fixed in july just like the roadmap states

And as a side note. yes code can cause a pc to over heat and melt down. google search the old get on the wagon virus

Yeah the overall overhaul of the world is great, but I feel like it really need optimization, I used to play smoothly on ultra, now I can feel micro-stutter.

Do you realize how stupid this comment is? If a software is using "all" of your CPU, then your CPU is generating more current (voltage) which directly creates heat. So, yes, software can cause your CPU to overheat.

You can't like say "CPU hit this temp" and then it will but you can directly control how much a cpu is utilized which is literally what generates heat.

Saying you can't directly control how much heat your cpu generates in this way is just being hyper specific.

Also noticed Nvidia's performance overlay doesn't want to pop up when using alt+r in game, have just looked at CPUID HWmonitor and haven't noticed any high spikes in temp....yet

Running Craftopia in 4k (3840x2160):
RTX 3080 Ti
32gb Ram DDR4 @ 3600mhz
12th Gen intel i7-12700k (20 Cpu's) ~3.6Ghz

TY could not for the life of me remember the name of that program. no spikes and im mostly stable at 150 f Turned graphics all the way down turned off shadows render distance on grass and render distance. With 7 fields of wheat on the ground while raining temp on cpu got up to 160s. Im rated for 210 f guess im safe for now

If using 100% of your CPU causes overheating then you are having a cooling failure lmao. The game isn't optimized but your cooling should work under 100% load without crashes.

You bought new a i7 8500 in 2023? Wtf, hopefully you got a great deal cause you can easily buy anything surpassing that for like $100

Those specs can't be correct, the i7 8500 is an ultra low power 5w tdp 2 core 4 thread cpu. The I5 desktop one is also only 6c/6t which also can't be right.

Edit: also if you have a liquid cooling loop and it can't handle a cpu, are you sure you took the sticker off?

Chiming in that this also cranked my CPU temps up to danger levels. Careful out there peeps

i9 9900K + 3070Ti + 32Gb Ram -> I barely touch 60Fps -> I think they have a lot to work on optimization
