Puzzle in Old Garden of Undead dungeon.

There's this second puzzle in the dungeon where in front of you, there's a 5x5 grid of lamps. Some are lit, some are not. The giant crystal resets the puzzle and next to it, there's a note that's in Japanese but according to Google Translate, it means "Erase all the lamps". Context wise, I interpret this as turning all the lamps off.

So how does this puzzle work?

Unless I'm misinterpreting the instruction, you have to turn off all the lamps. All of them can be toggled on or off. If you turn one "on", the lamps surrounding it on a cross pattern will turn off, the opposite is the same. Doing it on the edge and corner differs a bit.

The image below is the pattern that occurred for me along with how the lamps will behave.. I'm not sure if it will be different for you. The label "me" is standing right next to the big crystal and the note.

Anyway, I spent 2 hours on this and the closest I got was having 1 lamp remaining. Please share your thoughts and experience here cuz I give up working on this. Good luck!

I just used the glider to go to the next platform with the yellow guy. I have jump height boosts don't know if that matters.

*edit* the workaround has since been patched

From the top middle do top, down one, down one, then one to left of 4th down and one to right of 4th down. Boom.

Looking at the grid with the reset at the bottom. Start with a reset board and hit each 1, 1 time. Doesn't matter the order.

Trust me I feel your pain I was on it for hours getting frustrated till I found the answer on a different discussion

it was tough at first spent like 20 min after that i just reset it and started to test different starting moves for 5 min and got it done pretty fast after that

Sheesh, I can't get past the 3X3 puzzle, it says light them all, and I did but the fire door doesnt drop.

people have been complaining about how to unlock this dungeon's portal and the puzzle inside the dungeon, to the point dev nerved it pretty hard..
it become a lot easier now...

I did notice the switches for the gate bubble are now all in the same room

Well, nothing I did from the 3X3 worked, but there was a ramp up to the end, so close enough?
